This longer-bladed form of the Roman sword became favored in the later Empire to fill the need for a longer sword for mounted cavalrymen. Based on historical examples this reproduction has a blade of high carbon steel and a hilt of wood which is finished with a grip of polished bone. Included is a wooden scabbard with brass trim and fittings. The brass suspension sling allows for you to hang and wear this sword with your own sword baldric or belt.
